I have always had a love of story. I went to Art College, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration and began – first as a freelance Commercial Artist, then as Artist in Residence in a country town junior school in Central Western Queensland. It was the perfect grounding for my following work, illustrating children’s picture books and fiction covers for publication in Australia and New Zealand. Picture book publications include: ‘In My Father’s Room’ by Gary Crew – a Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable Book; ‘The Place Where The Planes Take Off’ by Steven Herrick and ‘Beach Pirates’ by Janeen Brian. My illustrations have been exhibited Nationally – in public and private collections, Galleries, Libraries and Literature Centres.
Today – when I’m not working with traditional and digital illustration media – I write poems and short stories for publication as a contributor to literary magazines for children.
