I have always had a love of story. I went to Art College, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration and began – first as a freelance Commercial Artist, then as Artist in Residence in a country town junior school in Central Western Queensland. An inspiration for my following work – illustrating children’s picture books and fiction covers for publication in Australia and New Zealand. My picture book publications include: ‘In My Father’s Room’ by Gary Crew – a Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable Book; ‘The Place Where The Planes Take Off’ by Steven Herrick and ‘Beach Pirates’ by Janeen Brian. My illustrations have been exhibited Nationally – in public and private collections, Galleries, Libraries and Literature Centres. Today – when I’m not working with traditional and digital illustration media – I write poems and short stories for publication as a contributor to literary magazines for children.
