As a child I spent my time drawing, creating and day dreaming. After finishing high school I decided to be “sensible” and complete a Bachelor in applied science and worked for many years as a community nurse. However art kept calling me and I have now returned to my first love making freelance illustration and design my career. I have illustrated two published books, Hipster Harry Counts and Hipster Harry goes to the Zoo. I work with a variety of traditional and digital media, often starting with gouache or pencil and then finishing the work off digitally. I have three beautifully creative children who inspire my work. I love drawing faces and creating cute animals. I am influenced by nature, colour and imagination.
