Gemma is a Melbourne-based author and illustrator dedicated to writing picture books that spark creativity, celebrate the mystical, and nurture a deep connection to nature. With a background in art and education, Gemma weaves together playful humour, quirky illustrations, and thought-provoking stories to encourage children to engage in their worlds with a deep sense of curiosity and wonder. Her stories inspire children to see the magic in the mundane and to ask big questions about who they are and how they fit into the vastness of existence. In 2024, Gemma received a Commended Entry in the New England Writers’ Centre Illustration Prize.
