Grace Fraraccio

Grace Fraraccio is an illustrator and picture book maker based in Melbourne, Australia. She grew up in a mud brick house surrounded by music, gum trees and plenty of drawing. Grace’s illustrations are both fresh and familiar – they invite readers to step into a contemplative, almost otherworldly existence and experience a sense of nostalgia and calm. Her expressive characters range from animals and humans to mythical creatures, fruit and vegetables. Grace recently illustrated a non-fiction book for teenagers with Affirm Press which has been shortlisted for the Australian Book Design Awards 2025. She has illustrated multiple self-published book projects and is currently completing illustrations for a picture book with EK Books to be released in 2026. Grace studied art and literature at Monash University and currently works in an art gallery while freelancing across a range of artistic projects. She works from her attic studio in Upper Beaconsfield which looks out onto a glorious view of bush, birds and blue skies.
