James is an illustrator and story-teller with a passion for the fantastical and otherworldly. His and his background in science and education make him well suited to illustration projects featuring STEM subjects. native Australian animals, and educational storytelling. He works primarily in ink, watercolour and digital media, and loves a good pun. Additionally, he has been commissioned to create concept art, public art pieces and murals, art exhibitions, and playful mascots for business logos. He was the 2021 recipient of the NEWC/Varuna Fellowship and his first popular science book is due for publication in 2023.
