John Tiedemann is an illustrator working from Sydney. He started working for newspapers in 1988, which have included the Sydney Morning Herald, The Sun Herald, Financial Review, The Canberra Times, The Australian, The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph. He has also illustrated columns for The Bulletin, Money Magazine, The Week and Spectator Australia. From 2012 to 2018 John was the editorial illustrator for The Daily Telegraph and still enjoys the challenge of producing art with a political flavour. His versatility is further evident in his coverage of business, the arts, lifestyle and sport and he has very strong skills in caricature. John has also drawn for scientific publications at the Prince of Wales Medical Research Institute and various trade magazines, such as the Law Society Journal. John spent many years working in the traditional mediums of pen and ink, watercolour, pencil, acrylic and gouache and now works digitally using Procreate and Photoshop.
