James Tyrrell is a Melbourne based illustrator specialising in commercial digital art. James’ creative method is to try to recapture buildings or places at a point in time, and to illustrate in a style that suits the same period. James regularly refers to archival photos which provide an opportunity to create his distinctive illustrations without any modern-day elements that interfere with the subject in its original form. James’ work has been short-listed multiple times in the AOI World Illustration Awards.
