One of five daughters I grew up in a little weatherboard house with a rambling garden, home also to dogs, cats, turtles and silkworms, in the Northern suburbs of Sydney. I’ve spent my life studying, working and volunteering in the performing arts, visual arts, arts administration and animal rescue/rehabilitation. I draw inspiration from layered characters, and the fragility and wonderment of nature. My illustrations are created with pencil, watercolour and pen, at times combining these traditional mediums with photography/digital media. I currently reside with my small human and non-human family in an even littler weatherboard house, in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
