Laura Stitzel an author, illustrator and animator from Melbourne. Her work is a combination of watercolour, digital and ink painting. She loves drawing animals and in a cosy and nostalgic style. She has illustrated books for Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Hinkler Books and Affirm Press. She is the author/illustrator of two picture books – ‘Mr Mo Starts to Grow’ (Hachette) and ‘Moonlight Mums’ (Penguin). As a background artist and animator, has has worked on animated television shows for PBS, Disney, Warner Bros, Netflix, ABC and more. Laura studied animation at RMIT in Melbourne and classical drawing and painting at the New York Academy of Art.
